Remember,
we are water.
Support Indigenous-led efforts to defend and honor the Rights of Rivers through the
Intertribal Rights of Rivers
Ni’Waxu’be (Sacred Water) Fund
Over the last four years, the Convening of the Four Winds brought hundreds of water protectors together. The time has come to build a network for the waters. The Intertribal Rights of Rivers Alliance (IROR) Ni’Waxu’be (Sacred Water) Fund acknowledges and uplifts the work being done by Indigenous Peoples, Tribal Nations, and communities to uphold the Rights of Rivers and all Water bodies. These waters are not separate from us — they are our relatives and our lifeblood. Through this fund, IROR supports Indigenous-led efforts to defend and honor the rivers and water bodies that sustain our communities, our nonhuman relatives, and the future generations. We remember that we are Water, and we acknowledge the inherent, fundamental, and inalienable Rights of Water to naturally exist, regenerate, and thrive.
“Water doesn’t need us to save her – she needs us to remember we are her”
Casey Camp-Horinek
It takes many raindrops to create, replenish, and renew our waterbodies.
When you give to the IROR Ni’Waxu’be (Sacred Water) Fund, you become an A’niwi (raindrop) in a growing movement to uphold the inherent Rights of Water to exist and thrive as our relative.
Together, our collective raindrops become rivers — sustaining Indigenous-led water protection, strengthening advocacy for the Rights of Rivers, and ensuring that sacred waters can exist, regenerate, and thrive for future generations.
