Recently, Movement Rights had the opportunity to return to Bolivia as part of the International Tribunal for the Rights of Nature, a Commission which was born out of a gathering in Tiquipaya, Bolivia several years ago. This past August numerous stories were shared about a controversial highway development that will cut directly through protected rainforest and disrupt an estimated 65% of the biodiversity in that region.

The following slideshow shares a bit of the story about the trip and is the first in a series of digital stories about the defense of the TIPNIS, a protected area that sits in the heart of the Bolivian Amazon.
